The .psh extension primarily associates with the Photodex Slide Show File (PSH) file format/type. PSH is a proprietary format introduced by Photodex for the use with its Photodex ProShow series. ProShow is the common name of feature-rich and powerful, yet easy-to-use slide show design applications for MS Windows. Supporting a wide range of video, audio, image, and font formats, Photodex ProShow applications allow to create eye-candy slide shows with the use of complex animation, transitions, and special effects.
A .psh file is a ProShow project file, a list of all local multimedia resources included in the project: photo images, video and audio clips, clip art, fonts, etc. PSH files do not contain any actual media data themselves. A PSH file is a source-code equivalent of a complete slide show authored with ProShow.
PSH projects are meant to be opened with Photodex ProShow only and are not meant to be directly published. Before publishing, a PSH project must be produced, i.e. rendered into a standard digital multimedia container.
The .psh extension can also be used to mark libgdx polygon shape definition files (.psh) created and used with the libgdx cross-platform game development framework. libgdx is based upon Java, and it uses .psh files to define complex polygonal shapes (polygon regions) to apply bitmap textures to. Such PSH files are text-based and best handled with the libgdx-polygoneditor tool.
